Armature Wire

Flexible yet strong armature wire is used as the framework or ‘skeleton’ of figure, animal or abstract sculptures. Once bent into shape these internal 'skeletons' help to hold up the clay medium while providing a structure for the sculptor to layer and model their clay on. Most often the armature wire is attached to an external support system.
